An organization was formed by us before 20 years for Islamic propagation to educate and guide the people to follow the true Islamic teachings. On the course we had many conducts with people and organizations with the same goals.

We engaged in many social services and other activities beneficial to the society. Subsequently we had the opportunity to get remodeled and rebuilt our grand mosque in 2002 which was about 300 years old. The funding was done solely by brother Abdurrahman bin Abdullah As saif of Saudi Arabia.

We are stationed here and the ma'had is functioning from here, hence the name was decided as above.

Towards a well founded Islamic Society

Our Objectives :

To create a pure Islamic society, on the basis of the Quran and the Sunnah which gives prominence to them.

To educate and train the student in Islamic studies and in secular subjects on par to face the challenges of the modern world.

To expel the thoughts and deeds of shirk and bid'a, first from the student, from his home and thereby from the society.

To instill the importance of the Arabic language in the minds of students and to teach Arabic in order to understand the Qur'an and the Sunnah.

To confirm that this ma'had serves as a light house to the society concerning the matters of Deen.

Kinniya is a slowly developing urban area, situated in the Trincomalee District, Eastern province and 250 kilometres away from the capital, Colombo. People began to settle here about 400 years back. It has a poor road access to, but a bridge is now being built with Saudi Arabia funding, to connect it to the main town Trincomalee.

It is one of the very few localities where Muslims are majority as 96% of its population of about 80,000 is Muslims. Occupations of the majority are paddy cultivation and fishing and for the last two decades people are facing a very hard time with their earnings due to the prevailing war situation. Particularly the financial condition was badly affected by the activities of terrorists.

There are 40 government schools big and small. There are 70 Masjids and 6 Madrsas for Arabic and Islamic studies. Most of them are inadequately built and maintained entirely by the area people in the same way as there isn't any government fund is allocated for this purpose.

The Madrsas traditionally follow a syllabus which is not well planned and insufficient to make the student capable to meet the nowadays challenges.
